Three Sketches

I've been doing a lot of conceptual work lately, because most of my canvas and paints are packed up until August. The first and last are conceptual sketches and will have to be developed further, while the second is a finished pencil sketch currently being colored in Photoshop CS:

Tegan. This will eventually be done in oils on a 2'x3' canvas. The viewpoint is going to be pulled back a bit to give the viewer more of the background, and at this time I'm thinking about putting some type of stain glass behind her. I like the idea of multi-colored reflected light-play on objects in the room.

Miranda. From a short story that is being written, to be included in a project of twenty tales and accompany illustration. She lives in Australia, and is a zombie hunter. Set in an apocalyptic future, where people obviously don't cut corners on footwear.

Sabriel. I love the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix, and have done several of the characters from the books. This is a sketch of the main character.

More work appearing soon.
